My Teaching and Learning (T&L) Development Reviews are designed to provide schools with comprehensive, bespoke support to accelerate teacher development and improve classroom practice.
Aim
The aim of a T&L Development Review is to provide targeted, external support to ensure that your school or department is focusing on the most important improvement priorities — and addressing them in the most effective way possible.
The Process
1. Pre-visit Meeting
We begin with an online meeting where leaders outline their current priorities, context, and strategic approach.
This ensures that the visit is fully tailored to your setting.
2. School Visit
- Morning: Lesson visits across a wide range of classes, triangulating your stated priorities with the reality of classroom practice.
- Afternoon: A collaborative session to discuss how the evidence gathered might refine or adapt the existing development priorities.
We also review how your CPD and development plans are designed to address the findings.
Where needed, I can offer coaching or focused training input on specific areas.
3. Follow-up Support
Leaders have the option to book ongoing coaching meetings to discuss progress on their development plans, tackle emerging challenges, and continue refining practice.
Outcomes
By the end of the review process, leaders will have:
- A deeper understanding of their school’s real development needs
- Clear priorities for teacher development and school improvement
- Practical support to design CPD and development plans that are evidence-led and high-impact
- Ongoing coaching options to sustain momentum
